En Warner Bros.no desperdiciarán la oportunidad más obvia que representa el proyecto de animación digital Lego: The Piece of Resistance, toda vez que la popular marca juguetera ya ha sacado adelante múltiples productos relacionados a franquicias del estudio con, por ejemplo, figuras y videojuegos dedicados a El Señor de los Anillos, Harry Potter o inclusive los héroes de DC Comics. Y es que ahora Variety da a conocer que el salto de la popular franquicia a la pantalla grande contará con Superman y Batman, en la apuesta animada co-dirigida por la dupla conformada por Phil Lord y Christopher Miller (21 Jump Street, Lluvia de Hamburguesas) junto a Chris McKay (Robot Chicken).
La película, según revelan ahora,. estará centrada en torno a una mini figura de Lego totalmente ordinaria llamada Emmet, que es erróneamente identificado como el Maestro Constructor más importante de todos los tiempos. A partir de ahí, se unirá a una comunidad de extraños que buscarán detener a un villano que amenaza con literalmente «congelar» al universo. La idea así es que el personaje tenga una travesía a través de diferentes mundos.
Chris Pratt de Parks & Recreation es el elegido para prestar su voz al personaje principal, mientras Will Arnett será la versión Lego del hombre murciélago y Channing Tatum fue aproximado para dar su voz al hombre de acero del mundo Lego.
