Esa es la misión que actualmente está concretando The Bourne Legacy de Tony Gilroy , que al instalar una historia paralela situada en el mismo universo protagonizado por Matt Damon, generó críticas desde el día uno. Pero ahí ya tienen asegurados a Joan Allen (Pamela Landy) y Albert Finney (en el rol del Dr. Albert Hirsch) para retornar a la franquicia, que ahora se centrará en un nuevo agente sin memoria que aún así dejará espacio para el eventual regreso de Jason Bourne.

El siguiente actor que se unirá a la lista según Variety es el señor don secundario Scott Glenn, que volverá a interpretar al director de la CIA, Ezra Kramer. No sé ustedes, pero no me sorprendería con el eventual día que confirmen que se unirá Julia Stiles al elenco. Sería la guinda de la torta para que toda la masa sepa que este es el mismo universo que el de la celebrada acción epiléptica.

Les recuerdo que la nueva película será protagonizada por Jeremy Renner, junto a un elenco que incluye a Rachel Weisz, Oscar Isaac y, aún en negociación, Edward Norton. Y repito, pueden armar el mejor elenco del universo, pero seguirá faltando alguien: Matt Fucking Damon.

If you want a dinner date with Scott Glenn, you might want to give him a call now because he’s about to become very, very busy as he’s joined two big upcoming projects.

First up, he’ll reprise his role from “The Bourne Ultimatum” as CIA director Ezra Kramer in “The Bourne Legacy.” He’ll join Albert Finney (as Dr. Albert Hirsch) and Joan Allen (as Deputy Director Pamela Landy) as returning actors to the franchise that will focus on a new agent in a story that will leave room for Jason Bourne to return. Of course, specific plot details are under wraps. Jeremy Renner will be the agent on the run this time with Rachel Weisz, Oscar Isaac and Stacy Keach among the cast and Ed Norton set as the villain. Franchise steward Tony Gilroy wrote the screenplay and will be directing the film, which should be lensing any day now in time for its August 2012 release.

But that’s not all. Glenn is also finding time for Lee Daniels’ “The Paperboy.” The film is a 1960s-era thriller based on the book by Pete Dexter that follows Ward James, a respected journalist, and his brother Jack, a college dropout, investigating the possible wrongful conviction of a death row inmate who was found guilty of killing the town’s sheriff in Florida. He’ll join John Cusack, Matthew McConaughey, Zac Efron, Nicole Kidman and David Oyelowo in the film, playing W.W. James who runs the local newspaper. Filming on “The Paperboy” should be underway any day now as well. [Variety]

  1. Insisto…esa idea …»DEL LEGACY» es mejor para una serie de tv, y ahí que hagan cameos los personajes secundarios…hasta el mismo Damon, haría cameos, total el tipo es buena onda,
    Coincido Doc, aunque armen todo el universo…no estará el corazon, será como la 9na temporada de los X-files Sin Moulder.
